Ed is an Associate Broker in Wyoming and Idaho with experience in all segments
of the market, both residential and commercial, from small properties to those
priced over $40 million. From 2011-2014, he was the President and Chief
Operating Officer of Jackson Hole Sotheby’s International Realty, and prior to that
was Executive Vice President of the Company. Ed resigned as President and COO
to focus on his real estate business and allocate more time to his community
involvement.
With those focused efforts, Ed became one of the top performing agents in the
Jackson Hole/Teton area. He has consistently been recognized as one of the top
producing agents within Jackson Hole Sotheby’s International Realty and the
entire global Sotheby’s International Realty network.
In addition, Ed’s efforts supporting the community and non-profits were
recognized in 2015 when he was awarded the Town of Jackson Hometown Hero
Award.
In November of 2016, Ed was selected by the National Association of Realtors
(NAR) and its 1.3 million members to receive the NAR Good Neighbor Award for
his years of work and accomplishments with the Community Safety Network
(CSN). Ed is the first and only Wyoming Realtor to receive this award and one of
only five winners in the world in 2016.
Ed is also a past Realtor of the Year award recipient, Teton Board of Realtors.
His business expertise, integrity, communication skills and commitment to
customer service resulted in immediate success in the real estate business. Ed has
represented clients across all property types including some of the largest sales in
Wyoming and Idaho. His referral business is the key to his success. He consistently
works with clients on subsequent transactions and is kept busy with new contacts
generated from customer and client referrals.
Ed graduated from Michigan Technological University where he was also
commissioned a Second Lieutenant in the United States Air Force through the Air
Force ROTC. His 5 years of active duty included two tours in Vietnam and attaining
the rank of Captain.
Ed is a former executive of Procter & Gamble where he held senior roles in sales,
marketing and general management both nationally and internationally.
Following his career at P&G, Ed operated his own Marketing, Sales, Strategic
Development, Business Planning and Organizational Development consulting
practice. His clients included General Motors, Cott Corporation, Barilla Pasta,
Speedway Motorsports and Scott Paper among others.
Ed is an active and engaged member of the Jackson Hole community.
In May of 2019, Ed was appointed by Governor Mark Gordon to the Board of the
Wyoming Lottery Corporation and currently serves the state as Secretary of the
Board and also is a member on the Governance Committee.
Ed was appointed by Teton County Commissioners and Jackson Town Council to
the Jackson Hole Airport Board in December, 2019 and is Vice President of that
Board and also serves on various committees.
Some of Ed’s other activities in Jackson Hole include being Chairman Emeritus of
the St. John's Hospital Foundation, Board Member of Jackson Hole Air Improve-
ment Resources (JH AIR), Commander of VFW Post #4274, and Executive
Committee member of American Legion Post #43. Ed is a member of the Future
Projects Committee for Habitat for Humanity and the Wednesday Lunch Group.
Ed is a member of the Rotary Club of Jackson Hole and former director and multi-
term President of its Foundation.
He served as President of the CSN Board (an organization helping victims of
domestic violence, sexual assault and stalking) for 6 years and a Board member
for 9 years. Ed is also Chairman Emeritus of St. John’s Health Foundation where
he also led the recent capital campaign (exceeding the $15 million fund raising
goal) for construction of the St. John’s Sage Living Center. He was Chairman of the
Jackson Centennial Commission in 2014 and is a past Director of the Grand Teton
Music Festival. He is a former Director and officer of the Aspens Water & Sewer
Board and the Teton Pines HOA. He is also a former Director of a bank holding
company.
Ed and his wife Carole are strong supporters of the Jackson Hole community
including the Community Safety Network, St. John’s Medical Center, Teton Youth
and Family Services, the Grand Teton Music Festival, Teton County Search &
Rescue, the Teton Free Clinic, the Teton County Library, Old Bill’s Fun Run and
their church. They are founders of the St. John's Hospital Diabetes Education and
Outreach Program, Rungius members of the National Museum of Wildlife Art, as
well as sponsors to numerous other charitable organizations throughout the area.
Ed enjoys many of Jackson's wonderful recreation offerings including golf,
downhill and cross-country skiing, snow shoeing, music, the arts, museum, fly
fishing, hiking and biking. He is a member of the Wednesday Lunch Group. Ed and
Carole are members of the Teton Pines Country Club and Tributary.
